Fabulous Face Masks

Hello!

Recently I have been loving these face masks from Superdrug. There is a large variety of types and my favourites are pictured below. As well as the lovely mixture of the product, I love the fun look of the packaging and the fact that the face masks aren't just for one-time use (making them great value for money).

The 'Dead Sea Mud Mask' is great for detoxifying the skin for a smooth, invigorated complexion. The mixture of this product is ultra-purifying and unclogs pores, leaving the skin feeling revitalised. In my experience, it helps to clear the skin as it dries onto the face. Afterwards, just cleanse with warm water to remove and you are left with a soft, exfoliated complexion.

My other preference of the collection is the 'Vitamin E Moisture Mask' which hydrates the skin to leave your face feeling soft and supple. The nourishing effects of Grapeseed Oil and the antioxidant properties of Vitamin E protect the skin for a long-lasting younger-looking complexion. Unlike some face masks, this one quenches the skin and is not rinsed off so that the product can continue to soak into the skin.

What's your favourite face mask?

Garden Picnic Party

Hello!

Summer is finally on it's way and with hot (ish) weather, come fun garden parties with lots of cake! Here are my steps to creating the best picnic party for all your friends...

1. First create the decorations - hang bunting between the trees and make the garden as pretty as can be!
2. Then bake lots of cakes and sweet treats and display them on lovely plates and stands.
3. Place all the nibbles on your garden table.
4. Add lots of paper straw to glass jar cups (very #tumblr! ) and ensure there are lots of drinks around.
5. Spread a large blanket across the floor and add loads of colourful cushions.
6. Invite all your friends around to enjoy it with you.
7. Have fun together :)
What are your plans for the summer?
Are you hosting a garden party? If so, I hope it goes well :)

Tuesday Thoughts #2

Hello!

Another Tuesday, another thought - thank you Pinterest, land of all inspiration!

Insight <3

I have always been one for spontaneous adventures. I just think that there are a lot more things that you see in the world if you just open your eyes to them. It is always good to have a plan and roughly know what you want to do and were you want to be in life. However, I think it is best to allow yourself to be flexible and say yes to any opportunities that arise. This leads on to last weeks post as from saying 'yes' you can then see what happens and enjoy it. After all, what is the fun of forcing yourself to stick to a severely structured plan for no reason?

See where the wind takes you...

Classic Cars

Hello!

Today I visited the annual classic car show on the seafront. I'm not really into cars (at all) but I like the vintage style that most of the old vehicles have and the story behind a lot of them. I thought I'd share a few pics with you of some of my favs...
I love the vibrant bold red colour of this truck.
This beautiful traditional car is used for wedding hire.
I think the bright blue colour was the best.
This old American car has such an awesome shiny engine...
...and the white leather bench seats look as if they have just come out of the movies!
The engine on this car was so massive in comparison to the body.
I just think the huge steering wheels are so cool!
They even had old-fashioned police cars...
...and motorbikes...
...and tractors...
...and post office telephone trucks...
 ...and fun looking trucks!
Why don't cars look as great as this any more?
This reminds me of the toy cars I had when I was younger with the rack for suitcases and hampers.
The bright sunny yellow just makes me smile :)
This is possibly the best in show! Isn't it amazing?!
What's your favourite car?

Travel-Sized Beauty Lotions & Potions

Hello,

Happy half-term holidays!

This term has been particularly exhausting with exams and Duke of Edinburgh expeditions so this break is very much needed and I am looking forward to a rest. For some people, this is a time for travelling, visiting and exploring new places. Due to this, I thought I would write about some of my current favourite mini-sized beauty products which are perfect for squashing in to an already over-flowing suitcase.

In many  cosmetic shops, there are always gift sets on the shelves (especially during special holidays) and these are fab for presents. This means that birthdays and Christmas' are a great time to stock up on travel products. The little bottles are also handy when you've emptied them as you can then transfer product from your favourite big bottle into it, which is much more practical to take away.

This first box set is from the 'Dirty Works' brand which is sold in Sainsburys and is a cheaper equivalent to 'Soap and Glory', in my opinion. They come as a set of four with a body scrub, body wash, body lotion and bath soak. What I love about these is there relaxing fragrances (calendula flower extract and chamomile) and there eye-catching packaging. I have always loved packaging, but that's a story for another time... Anyway, the witty comments on the back do make the product more appealing and are great for the trendy retro theme!

My next favourite product is the 'EXTRACTS luxurious vanilla body wash' from Boots. I love the beautiful soft sweet scent, pastel coloured packaging and that it contains fairtrade ingredients (honey produced by communities in South America).

The products from the brand 'I love...' always have such lovely fragrances and pretty shimmering colours. There collection is growing with a really awesome range, including 'raspberry & blackberry', 'honey almond' and 'coconut & cream'. However, I think that the best scent is the 'strawberries & cream' which smells delicious and has a lovely foaminess to it.

Lastly, the body butters from 'The Body Shop' come in a very large range with many varieties of fragrances. They can be bought in different sizes as well, the smallest being 50ml which is pictured below. The packaging comes in distinctive bright, bold colours and has a twist-off lid which easily comes off, hooray! The product is very hydrating and perfect for keeping your skin hydrated, soft and smooth whilst out in the sunshine.

(sorry, I couldn't find a website link to the 50ml version but they sometimes appear in the shop or as part of gift sets)

What are you doing this holiday?
Hope you have a great time whatever you are up to :)

Tuesday Thoughts #1

Hellooo!

I have always been a big fan of quotes. If ever in a scenario, count on me to be the person with some (half) relevant quote in mind because, for me, they always have a lovely meaning behind them, whilst teaching and inspiring me to be a better person.

Normally, Tuesdays tend to be one of the easiest days of the week (often consisting of art, sport and a chilled evening). This allows me to spend some time thinking and I thought I would use this day to share some thoughts with the internet.

I think this little quote is so great and speaks of big dreams. What is the point in staying safe your whole life? If you don’t take the opportunity and see where it takes you, you’ll never know what might have been. Whatever is holding you back, just stop to think for a second “What have I got to lose?” Life is too short to worry about every outcome. It is great to dream but what is the point if nothing ever comes from it. Often the most amazing things come from one small decision.

Dream big, choose to do, take the leap and see what lies ahead...

Spring Season Flowers

The other week I was walking through town and I noticed all the flowers in bloom. I love this time of the year when all the different beautiful buds have opened up, displaying their colourful petals and filling the air with their sweet scents.

I have always believed that a picture says a thousand words, so I thought I would share a few bright photos of some of my favourite flowers from this month.

Bonjour!

Hello world!

I've been planning to write my own blog for a while now and so on this random Sunday afternoon I've decided to properly start one. I'm so inspired by some of the other amazing blogs out there so I thought I would use this space to capture all the best moments of my life in one place (a bit like an internet journal). I will include all of my favourite things, from what I'm wearing to what I'm doing to what I'm loving.

I hope you join me on my adventures through this crazy world that we call life!
